The Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) and the Asian School of the Environment (ASE), invite applications for a Project Officer.
The Project Officer will join a dynamic, expanding research group that investigates volcanoes and volcanic rocks using a variety of geochemical and textural analytical techniques as well as high-temperature experiments simulating magmatic phenomenon.
The Project Officer will perform a variety of support functions covering several different laboratories, assist in the purchasing of equipment and supplies, assist in daily operations, and track expenses of laboratories and projects. The Project Officer will have opportunity to gain first-hand experience with an array of state-of-the-art analytical instruments including Electron Probe Microanalysis (EPMA), laser ablation (LA-ICP-MS), and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). Active participation in research will be encouraged.
Candidate should possess at least Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the Sciences or Materials Engineering. Candidate must be a good team player, be well-organized, and possess good written and oral communication and basic computing skills.
