Professor David Wardle from the ASE has been appointed as an Editor of the prestigious Springer book series ‘Ecological Studies’. Ecological Studies is Springer's premier book series and it considers all aspects of ecology. This series started in 1973 and now includes 226 books, with about 4-5 new books published each year. This series focuses on analyzing and synthesizing ecological knowledge at all levels of resolution ranging from the biosphere to communities, populations, individuals and molecules. Recent volumes have considered components of biodiversity, global change, microbial ecology, ecophysiology and molecular ecology. Many of the books published in the series have become well established classics in the field of ecology.
Professor Wardle will be one of eight editors of the series, with the other editors based in the US, Germany, Australia and Argentina. The role of the editors is to consider book proposals for the series, and to work with authors and editors of those book proposals that have been selected.
