Research Assistant (Forest Ecology)

The Asian School of the Environment is currently looking for a candidate to join as a Research Assistant (RA).

Key responsibilities:

  • Organise and lead field teams to conduct tree censuses in nature reserves of Singapore
  • Manage and lead day-to-day operations of field work
  • Adapt field protocols as required
  • Manage and clean data collected from the field
  • Assist with preliminary data analysis
  • Adhere to NParks regulations when collecting data in nature reserves

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Ecology or Horticulture / Landscaping
  • Have good communication and leadership skills
  • Basic computing and computational skills helpful
  • Prior field experience helpful
  • Willing to learn new field and analytical techniques
  • Safety training helpful
  • Enjoyment of field work and data management an asset
